The Next Election

November 4th, 2008 will be a historic day. Our U.S. President, U.S. Representatives, and one of our U.S. Senators will be elected.

Will our society move in a more libertarian direction? That depends on the efforts of each one of us.

If you are interested in running for elective office or volunteering on a libertarian campaign, please contact us. We need you to make a difference.

Outreach

Libertarians enjoy sharing the message about the benefits of liberty with others. Please join us at our two main outreach activities, the Downers Grove Heritage Fest and the DuPage County Fair on 7/23-27.

If you stopped at our booth in the past, take the next step and visit us at our next meeting. If you know of other places in DuPage that would be good outreach locations, contact us. We've posted a few photos from the Heritage Fest on the Activity Photos page.

Movie Nights

Several times a year we meet at the home of a DuPage Libertarian to socialize and watch films with a Libertarian theme. Past movies have included The Incredibles, Harry’s War, V for Vendetta, and This Land is Mine. Contact us for more information.

Presentations

If your organization would like to learn how a free society is a better society, we have a presentation for you. For example, we recently spoke to two Advanced Government classes at Hinsdale Central High School and are always ready to speak to more.

Voter Registration

You can download a voter registration form on the DuPage Election Commission website. The form can also be used to change your registered address or name.

People who are concerned about safeguarding our voting rights should visit the Illinois Ballot Integrity Project website.

Anti-War Demonstrations

DuPage Libertarians join with caring citizens around the world in protesting the war in Iraq. (See photos from previous protests.)

Look for us in March 2009 protesting the war again. By then it will be 6 years too long!

Eminent Domain Abuse

DuPage Libertarians have joined with other organizations to protest the taking of people's homes and businesses by local governments.

Now that the Supreme Court has ruled against property rights, the only hope for homeowners is to get more libertarians elected to public office.
